Jaka Lounge is supporting our client, a neobank that operates in the South-East Asian market and whose mission is to economically empower millions through enabling the growth of SMEs.
Their strategy is to build a full-stack SME financial services platform that includes multi-currency bank accounts, payments, FX, corporate credit cards, and payroll. As they scale their product and infrastructure, they are expanding their engineering team to ensure security, reliability, and operational excellence across all systems.

This role is pivotal in supporting the Lead DevOps to shape the company’s cloud strategy, security, and scalability, ensuring that all systems remain robust and reliable.
With their expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices, they will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the company’s cloud environment across multiple providers.

Responsibilities
- Adopt a Security First approach in everything they do; take ownership of cloud security.
- Build, maintain, and own the company’s cloud deployments (Azure; Digital Ocean)
- Architect the cloud and network infrastructure, maintaining a balance between current needs and future scalability.
- Maintain and build developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee and optimise cloud and tooling spend to ensure funds are efficiently allocated and developer productivity is maximised.
- Support the engineering team in deploying and maintaining live workloads.
- Collaborate with the IT and security teams to manage requirements for engineering.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to the cloud, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.
- Build and maintain monitoring solutions for deployed services across the stack.
- Act as experts in all areas related to cloud, automation, and DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Cloud provider (Azure preferred, AWS and GCP accepted)
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform)
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions preferred)
- Good knowledge of monitoring and alerting solutions (Sentry, Datadog)
- Good understanding of containerisation technologies and serverless platforms (Docker, Azure Container Apps)
- Good understanding of Linux
- Excellent knowledge of security best practices, with a focus on Cloud and Networking
- Proactive and flexible mindset- achieve objectives independently whilst adjusting priorities according to need
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Data Engineering (Airflow, Snowflake) and database management.
- Experience working in regulated environments, particularly financial institutions.
- Experience in incident management and escalation processes.
- Passion for Developer Experience (DevEx) and building efficient tooling for developers.
- Experience with measuring and reporting DORA metrics is a plus.
