Jaka Lounge is seeking a CFO for our client, an independent mobile gaming studio that is known for its innovative use of technology and player-centric approach. We are looking for a CFO with exceptional financial insight and social skills to join their team.

As a CFO you will work closely with the C-level management team to create long-term strategies and financial goals. You will also have direct accountability for governing financial resources, predicting future trends and influencing strategic decision making and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the C-level management team to formulate annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Provide high quality financial reporting to the C-level suite to drive business decisions and support strategy execution.
  • Set the strategy for all functions of the department: accounting, audit, financial planning & analysis, payroll, travel management, investments & treasury, and finance operations.
  • Create and implement financial and accounting procedures and reporting systems within the company.
  • Ensure compliance of company reporting with IFRS / GAAP as relevant.
  • Manage the successful completion of annual audits, governmental tax filings, and other mandated compliance filings and reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Work closely with the Development team on revenue projections and forecasting; creating financial models on different business case scenarios and providing ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Identify expansion opportunities by analyzing new product areas and conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Manage investor relations and represent the company with third-party bodies such as beneficiaries, banks, suppliers, auditors, fiscal and control authorities.
  • Proactively identify and report risks and suggest counter measures.
  • Manage the finance team and recruit, develop, and retain a globally diverse finance and administration staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, an understanding of market opportunities, and the ability to lead change. We seek an entrepreneur and a strategist; someone who thinks globally yet acts locally.

  • Bachelor’s degree and being recognized from relevant financial institutions.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar senior finance management role (preferably IT, gaming and telecommunications).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in people leadership and stakeholder management roles.
  • Highly experienced in P&L and cash flow management.
  • Experienced in mentoring owners and C-level executives in P&L understanding, business case understanding, and presentations.
  • Strong business acumen in regard to all potential market opportunities; understand the climate, competitors, macroeconomic and fiscal environment, etc.
  • Strong financial acumen regarding investors` interests, selection and relations.
  • Strong challenger and advocator to all levels in all relevant business matters.
  • Developed people leading skills and change management skills.
  • Must know and keep up to date with all accounting and tax laws, as well as IFRS and US GAAP regulations.
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong work ethics, proven track record and trustworthy.
  • Multi-country experience in a previous position is an asset.
  • Strong abilities in Microsoft Office products.
