Jaka Lounge is supporting our client, a fast-growing neobank operating in the Philippines market, with a mission to economically empower millions by enabling the growth of SMEs.
Their strategy is to build a full-stack SME financial services platform including multi-currency bank accounts, payments, FX, corporate cards, and payroll. The product is already live and scaling, and the team is now expanding to support further growth.
Following a successful Series B round, they are now looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Medior Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin) who is excited to work on a high-impact fintech product in a fast-moving environment.
What you will be working on:
- Building and scaling backend services for a modern SME neobank
- Designing and developing reliable, secure, and high-performance APIs
- Working on data-heavy, transaction-oriented systems
- Collaborating closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development
- Strong experience with Java and/or Kotlin
- Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
- Experience in fintech, B2B, or data-heavy products is a plus (but not required)
- Strong engineering mindset, ownership, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
